Gaurang
Gaurang was inspired to start his counselling journey with his meditation practice which began at the age of 24. He found similarities in the process of dealing with difficult emotions & finding peace and joy - via meditation and via his own therapy sessions. This led to his true calling of counselling after initially working in the banking industry.
After attaining a master's degree in counselling, Gaurang has expanded his expertise to include trauma, addiction, and relationship counselling. He integrates a range of therapeutic tools such as CBT, ACT, EMDR and Gottman Method, while his approach remains deeply rooted in being trauma-informed, LGBTQA+ friendly, and compassionate.
Mindfulness is another key element in his practice, helping his clients cultivate stillness and clarity to better navigate their challenges. Gaurang’s passion for his work extends beyond his professional role, as he also dedicates two hours a week to volunteer with select clients, further emphasizing his commitment to supporting others on their journey toward healing and growth.
To see and be seen intimately, with all our faults and blemishes and embraced fully, without fear or judgement can be immensely healing. Equally having a connection, a moment of intimacy, with any person who we connect with is just as precious. Any relationship with a commitment has the potential to heal and grow. Even those impacted by such difficult issues as trauma, addictions and infidelity. Experiencing authentic connection/love/intimacy is possible. Prioritising our emotional and relational needs and embracing differences rather than trying to resolve them may help in rebuilding relationships.
